Alberta is privileged to have one of the largest, youngest and fastest-growing Indigenous populations in Canada. Nearly 250,000 First Nations, Métis and Inuit people play an important role in the social, cultural and economic fabric of this province.
LARR supports Indigenous economic development by facilitating economic partnerships among Indigenous communities, industry, governments and other stakeholders. LARR understands that Indigenous peoples have Aboriginal, Treaty and Inherent rights, as well as Indigenous laws. We believe that Indigenous communities need to be involved and participate in the development and activities on their traditional territories. We strive to understand the Indigenous perspective on issues surrounding the development of their traditional territories and help to navigate through the process of consultation to result in solutions that maximize economic self-sufficiency and build sustainability.
Working closely with Canada’s Indigenous peoples and communities Larr Management Corporation is committed to helping them reach their goals in building successful businesses and self-sufficient communities. To achieve this commitment, we build relationships with respect, trust, understanding, and transparency.
